Dominoes Netball Club
are proud to announce the success of their 2nd Annual Tournament that
was held on Saturday 2nd August 2003 at The Velodrome (National Cycling
Centre), Stuart Street, Manchester.
With only 1 team withdrawing
a week prior to the event, the remaining 23 teams endured the sweltering
summer sun. Each group played a minimum of 10 games in a round robin.
This year Spartan
Ladies, the consistent Chadwick Textiles, Trafford Juniors and their elders
Trafford Seniors made it through to the semi finals but Spartan Ladies
and Trafford Seniors made it through to the finals, with Trafford Seniors
being the overall winners.
Our event this year,
was supported by Warburtons Bread, who also provided a bouncy castle for
the kids (some not so small) to play on.
Once again, trophies
were provided courtesy of Netball UK.
