35 teams took part in Dominoes Netball Club’s 6th Annual Netball Tournament in Manchester on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August 2007
Dominoes Netball Club yet again held a great weekend of netball at the Velodrome in Manchester. The tournament was again another 2 day event and this year it’s fair to say we were blessed with good weather!
35 teams took part, playing around 8/9 games in a round robin, and then going on to knock out matches, quarter and semi finals, for the Dominoes Cup and Dominoes Plate sections.
It was local teams Trafford A v Dominoes 1st and Tibberton Stars from Shropshire v SAS from Hertfordshire who made it through to the semi finals of the Cup. The final was between Trafford A and Tibberton Stars, with Stars being the overall winners of a very exciting final.
In the Plate section, it was London Lionhearts 2nd v Trafford B and Knutsford v Prison Service in the semi finals, with the overall winner being London Lionhearts 2nd who beat Knutsford.
Well done to all teams who took part.
