Tournament 2010

The 9th Dominoes Netball took place on Saturday Aug 7th 2010 at Wright Robinson College, Abbey Hey, Manchester.

Over 400 ladies took to the courts to play hours of fast paced netball in a bid to see who would be victorious in either the Cup or the Plate competition.

This year the event had nationwide appeal as the final of the Cup was between Manchester team YWCA Bury and London's Crystal Palace. Well done to both teams for getting through to the final. It was such a good match that the result was a draw at full time, however after added time it was the Londoners who were victorious winners at 10 points to 8.

The final of the Plate competition was between Yorkshires Hi-Lites and Kents Sabina Red team. Hi Lites took the Plate trophy 11 - 7 victors.

This year's event has added importance to the club who have this year qualified to play National League Netball. The event is a good profile raider and Dominoes Netball Club are pleased that their ninth event has been as successful as the previous eight tournaments before it.
