Junior Coaches
Dominoes Netball Club Coaching is delivered by qualified coaches who are constantly working towards their next level of coaching. Some are players within the Senior section at Dominoes Netball club and others are parents of Juniors who have chosen to get involved. All have been screened for their suitability for working with young people. All are unpaid coaches.
As well as the coaches you can see training weekly at Club Training (Thursday evenings) there are also a number of coaches who work behind the scenes organising funding, mentoring, organising courses, tournaments and lots more. The Club aim to supply a coach per age group and we cater for ages between 6 years to 16 and we also invite boys to play high fives! (up till 11 years.) Dominoes encourage children to play in all available and suitable competitions and play weekly in the Ball Hall League. |
We keep up to date with latest coaching trends and developments in the game and are guided by England Netball’s Player Pathway to ensure our members receive appropriate training and competition at the right age and stage in their development.
We constantly encourage coaches towards gaining wider coaching experience, including teachings around Long Term Athlete Development and also Speed, Agility and Quickness, Club Equity, Child protection etc. We operate a mentoring scheme to ensure people can go to more experienced coaches for support and feel supported when giving their time to the club.
If you would like to develop as a coach, at Dominoes netball Club contact us at [email protected]. We are always keen to get parents involved in the running of the club so please do get in touch as help and support is always very welcome! Don’t be shy!
We also actively encourage our Junior Players to develop as coaches or umpires too, not just the playing side and can assist in training costs where possible.
