Junior Coaches
|
Coaching at Dominoes Netball Club is delivered by qualified coaches, all of whom are continually working towards their next coaching qualification. Some of our coaches play within the Senior section of Dominoes, while others are parents of junior players who have chosen to get involved. All coaches are fully screened for their suitability to work with young people, and all volunteer their time.
In addition to the coaches you see each week at Tuesday and Thursday Club Training, we also have a team of coaches who work behind the scenes. They support the club by organising funding, mentoring newer coaches, arranging courses and tournaments, and much more. |
We cater for players aged 6 to 16 years. We also welcome boys to play High 5s netball (up to age 11).
Dominoes encourages children to take part in all suitable competitions, and we enter teams weekly into the Ball Hall League.
We ensure our coaching stays current by following the latest developments in netball and by being guided by England Netball’s Player Pathway. This allows us to deliver appropriate training and competition tailored to each child’s age and stage of development.
We also support coaches in gaining wider experience in areas such as:
A mentoring scheme is in place to ensure every coach has access to support from more experienced coaches and feels confident in their role within the club.
If you are interested in becoming a coach at Dominoes Netball Club, please contact us at [email protected]. We are always keen for parents to get involved, and your help and support are very welcome — so please don’t be shy!
We also actively encourage our junior players to explore coaching and umpiring pathways, not just playing. Where possible, the club can assist with training course costs.
