Free Summer Netball Camp sponsored by iPRO Hydrate
In August (2021) Dominoes Junior Netball Club offered free summer netball camps specifically for young girls in Manchester who were eligible for free school meals. All the girls at the camps got free hot meals and learnt about food values / societies pressures around body image with nutritionist Jeanette Jackson. All in all it was a great 4 week project full of laughter, fun and being healthy and active!
We were so very proud that these camps supported by iPRO hydrate

iPRO hydrate is a healthy hydration drink supplemented with daily vitamins and nutritional goodness to support health and wellbeing.
The girls loved the ability to enjoy the sports across the camps but kept totally hydrated with the flavoured water drinks. |
We could not have put these sessions on without the help of MCRactive and Manchester City Council who have supported Dominoes Junior Netballers for many, years.
We were also blown away by the generosity of our food suppliers Dunsters Farm, the family business of over 50 years that started in Bury who’ve donated some fantastic healthy goodies. You can see how happy the girls are with their goodies in our gallery below!
As well as Creamline Dairies, the Manchester Family business who delivered amazing boxes of fruit weekly which disappeared (were eaten!) before we could even open the boxes.
Please enjoy our picture gallery and some of the comments we have had so far - below. Our coaches are loving the summer camps! Well done: Katie B, Rebekah, Tara, Julie, Mumina, Michelle, Sophie, Angel, Esther, Megan, Georgia, Sarah C & Katie R. #Dominoesfamily

Testimonials:
“Freya really enjoyed the first week meeting new people and learning new things. I’ve even seen her at home looking at foods to see what ingredients are in them. See you next week”
“Hi Katie, so glad today went well. I watched the last 20mins or so & it looked like the girls were all having a great time. Isobel really enjoyed today & came home feeling really good about the day. She even wanted to carry on training in the garden which was amazing- it’s like someone flipped a switch & she fell in love with netball again! I knew that this camp would be good for her but didn’t expect to see results so quickly lol. She mentioned that she enjoyed the games (rounders & hit the post etc?). I think the thing she enjoyed most was that the vibe was really positive and all the girls were nice and had a good attitude.”
“It’s been lovely for the girls to get this (netball camp) and still see their friends through the holidays something which they would normally struggle to do.”
“Hi, my daughter attended last week and we cannot fault anything, the girls were so friendly & amazing with the girls the activities was so good Zara really enjoyed it & cannot wait to return this week we can’t thank you enough.
From its inception Dominoes Junior Netball Club upholds inclusivity as one of its core values. We are pleased to have successfully applied for government funding to facilitate these camps. We would like to thank Wythenshawe’s & Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford for the tireless work he has done to ensure this funding has been available for all councils in the country and to ensure children in need across the UK are not forgotten.
